The challenge

Admissions, attendance, exams and fees ran on spreadsheets and paper. The commercial Odoo education module the university evaluated had 7 top-level menus that were only placeholders ("contact the vendor"), which depended on paid modules that didn't exist for Odoo 19. Management had no real-time view of enrollment, attendance or dues.

A Draft → Submitted → Approved/Rejected pipeline, document checklist, email templates, admission-fee invoicing, and one-click applicant → student conversion (partner + portal user + enrollment).

Academic structure

Years → departments → programs → subjects → sections, rooms, and a conflict-aware timetable generator.

Attendance

Present/Late/Absent/Excused/Holiday, leave-linked excusals, and 75% eligibility enforced by a scheduled job.

Examinations (new)

One-click result sheets, automatic percentage, letter grade (A+…F) and pass/fail.
